Nice in the 1970s. Renée Le Roux runs the city's historic casino. Standing firm but alone against the local mafia she refuses to be intimidated by her main competitor, Jean-Dominique Fratoni. But a lawyer uses his charms to seduce her daughter Agnès in order to take over the family business.
