Episode 1

1927. Jean Mermoz lands in Dakar, a veritable boom town. The event is covered by Fari, a 20 year-old Senegalese journalist, the only woman in the "Jour du Dakar" editorial team. In love with Alain de Bourbon, officer with the Senegalese Tirailleurs, their relationship scandalises the colony.

Episode 2

In her articles, Fari denounces the "Indigénat", and by doing so stirs up a veritable controversy. Her marriage to Alain de Bourbon continues to be considered scandalous. Catherine, helped by the Corsican network, continues her financial activities. A first rebellion erupts, rapidly brought to an end by Alain de Bourbon.
