The long, long holidays

Summer 1939. Ernest, 10, and Colette, 6, leave Paris to spend a weekend at their grandparents' house. But all of a sudden, war is declared: they stay out of harm's way, far from the capital, in Normandy. Their father is called to the front and their mother falls ill.
