Around 300 million people live with so-called rare diseases that no-one ever, or hardly ever, talks about. Over 6,000 are listed, often serious and invalidating. Diagnostic odyssey, non-existent or complex treatments, the ignorance of insurance companies... the challenges faced by patients and their families are innumerable.
