In the 4th century Saint Martin, bishop of Tours and avid voyager, travelled the roads of Poitou and Touraine. More recently, three signposted hiking trails have been created, inviting walkers to follow in his footsteps, from Poitiers to Tours, via Ligugé, Candes-Saint-Martin and Langeais.
