Femicides

In 2019, one hundred and fifty women were killed by their spouse or former partner. Facing this scourge, the journalists of "Le Monde" have created an investigation group within their editorial team to try to understand these femicides. With methodology they have succeeded in defining a recurrent criminal pattern and characterised the signals, both weak and strong, that lead to the murders of these women. The documentary analyses five emblematic cases of femicide. Through the testimonies of those close to the victims and of certain institutions, it follows how a love relationship develops, from first meeting to murder.
