The Åland Islands

Set in a bewitching décor the Åland archipelago is made up of some 6,500 islands. The majority of the 29,000 islanders live on Fasta, the most imposing of them all. Between Sweden and Finland, this rocky archipelago has generous public services and public involvement is both encouraged and valued.

The Broughton Archipelago

The Broughton Archipelago is composed of a hundred islands and islets floating amidst the narrow straits forming the passage between the north of Vancouver Island and continental British Columbia. Several inhabitants of the archipelago continue to live according to traditional customs inspired by those of the Kwakwaka'wakw indigenous tribe.
