According to Polynesian legend, the eel is a gift from God, the promise of a life of abundance. Anne-Cécile Monnier, freshwater biologist and diver and underwater photographer, goes looking for this mysterious creature, in the Papenoo River, in Tahiti, as well as on the island of Huahine.
