APOLLONIE

Apollonia, the ancient Albanese city founded by Greek settlers in the 7th century BC, was uncovered between the two world wars by the French archaeologist Léon Rey (1887-1954). A discovery that came after sixteen years of unbelievable effort and gave rise to a journal entitled "The Gods Were Right".
