In a small port in Brittany, wealthy fishmonger Jock brings a woman back from Saint-Brieuc, Odette. An arrival that unsettles two men: Kériadec, poverty-stricken local aristocrat, and his illegitimate brother. Becoming the aristocrat's mistress, Odette then falls passionately in love with Maurice, agreeing to be the instrument of his revenge...
