Louise en hiver

Louise en hiver (or “Louise by the Shore” in English) is a French animated film about an elderly lady who finds herself stranded in the seaside town of Biligen after missing the last train out for the season.

Synopsis

Passing up the option of being rescued by helicopter, this fearless lady decides to stay in the deserted town all winter with only a dog for company. She sets about facing the adversity of chilly weather, heavy rains, high tides, and no communication with the outside world. As Louise calmly goes about surviving each day, she recalls events from her difficult past.
