Élisabeth and her brother Paul live cloistered in their large Parisian apartment. Absorbed by their mutual and exclusive affection, only two friends, Gérard and Agathe, are allowed into their bedroom, a world governed by symbols they alone understand. Élisabeth's possessiveness towards her brother eventually leads to an irreparable tragedy...
