Festival de Cannes, 2022. A 12-year-old girl who acts and dresses like an adult is removed from her home and slowly learns how to be a child again.
12-year-old Dalva behaves and dresses like a grown woman. The authorities are notified and her single father's custody is withdrawn. She is put in a hostel where she starts to rebel against this situation which she finds unfair before gradually realising what she has endured.
