We have one like this in our new episode. It’s about this French chef, Eric Ripert. He’s the chef of a triple Michelin star restaurant in New York, The Bernardin. He’s one of the most respected chef in the culinary milieu…
But the Covid-19 doesn’t care who you are or what is your place in the world. Each and every one of us have been hit by the sanitary crisis. Ripert is no exception. The Bernardin is closed since May. No exception…
In this troubled time, some people rise up. Ripert is one of them.
The French restaurant is closed, not its kitchen. Every day, Ripert and his team prepare 400 meals for those who lost everything, those who are hungry. Every day, these meals are send to a mission on Bowery Park. Every day, Ripert gives back to the community. It’s remarkable.
I know we all do our part, helping when we can, trying to make things better for those who are losing hope. I live in Los Angeles. The growing number of homeless people setting up their tent under freeway bridges is heartbreaking. We’re all doing what we can, I know…
But it’s good to see what someone like Eric Ripert is doing. We need example, we need the stories, we need to be encouraged to do even more.
So, in Rendez-Vous d’Amérique, we’ll keep telling these stories and I can do even a little more. I want to use this blog to put those who wants to help in contact.
Answer this blog with your stories, with the places we can help, the website that can help us make a difference… Give us any indication that can help and I will put you in contact, publish the addresses and website… Anything I could do with my little blog and show, I will. It’s not a lot, but anything, anything will help.
We live in trouble times in a country where the government is… what it is and where solidarity is often just a word. Not for someone like Eric Ripert. Let him be an example that we could all follow…
