In her 50s, Anne (Nathalie Baye) decides to run for mayor of her town. However, Anne's personal life is not picture perfect - she is faced with many obstacles including an unfaithful husband and accusations of her family having collaborated with the Nazis during World War II, as well as a love affair between her son and his stepsister.
