• Yellow: In 1919, the French newspaper L'Auto was sponsoring the Tour De France. The yellow jersey was introduced since L'Auto was printed on yellow paper.
• Green: Points are given during the intermediate sprint in each mass-start stage and the end of each stage.
• White: Cyclists younger than 25 years old who are in the lead wear this color jersey.
• Spots: Points during mountain stages are given at the top of every categorized climb and are doubled at the finish of a summit.
